Veterinary Orthopedic Implants or VOI, was established as a company and product line in 1992 by owner Claude Gendreau, DVM, DACVS. Although the VOI product lines and sales have grown, we still treat our customers with small company service. At VOI, a representative will answer the phone during business hours and be able to assist you with your order. A client account representative will handle your account exclusively, and will be able to respond quickly and efficiently to your inquiries. Our goal is to make your ordering process as simple and accurate as possible.
99.9% of all orders placed by 5:00 pm will be shipped same day. Orders may be faxed or emailed 24 hours a day. Orders are checked independently for quality and accuracy prior to shipping. Patrick was born and raised in Montreal, Canada. His beginnings at VOI can be traced back to 1992 at the inception of Claude's vision for what would some day be VOI. He is passionate about travel and learning about different cultures. French is his mother tongue; and he had the opportunity to live in Africa as a child. Developing friendships with international students during his college years, he found himself traveling to many international destinations. He decided early on to make an attempt at his luck in the United States, and had the opportunity to further his studies in Chicago, IL. His passion for tennis gifted him with the love at first sight of the woman who became the mother of his 3 little girls some 12 years ago. They spent 4 years living in northern Vermont where he had the privilege to volunteer on the fire department. Saint Augustine, Fl has been home for Lily, Lola, Noa-Lee, Rebecca and Patrick for the past 4 years. Leading the way in specialized veterinary care
“When I founded the Veterinary Specialty Center in 1976, I intended for the practice to become the leading multidisciplinary referral center in the Midwest. Thanks to our outstanding team of veterinarian specialists and staff – and the partnership of our referring veterinarians – I think we lead the way in referral care. I know that we will always offer reliable, state-of-the-art and trusted care to the veterinarians, animals and owners who count on us.”
Enhancing quality of life for animals and their owners
“I think that for virtually every veterinarian, the driving force behind what we do is to enhance quality of life for animals. From treating a common health problem that requires specialized care to working on the most complex cases, I’m committed to restoring function for my patients and to working with their veterinarians and owners for the best possible results.“
Life outside veterinary medicine…
“I grew up with a Shetland pony and my love of horses has never waned. Now I breed, raise and train standard-bred horses. I also enjoy growing and maintaining ornamental trees. I try to stay fit and am a regular patron of the health club. My favorite sports are skiing, swimming, and an occasional match of tennis.
